Black Cube

My daughter just bought a new Nissan Cube yesterday,.. black. I told her not to get the dealer installed sealer, or whatever they call it, as I would do that myself. I currently have full bottles of Menzerna Acrylic Jacket, Meg's Syn. Sealant 21 and an almost full bottle of Klasse Sealant Glaze. Since I have never done a black car, I'm open for suggestions of what works best on black. I figure to clean & seal this car about twice a year.

Jim,

IMO, I would go with the Menzerna. With that, let me suggest something. What you could do is try out all 3. Do the front fender with the Menz, the door with 21 and the rear quarter with KSG. Let them haze and buff off. Then pull it into the sun and look at it and see which you like the best. You can then remove the other 2 with a microfiber and some ISA wipedowns. Then proceed to do the rest of the car. That is the way I would do it anyway or use painters tape and section the hood into 3 sections and do the same thing.

I tried the Menzerna on my 2002 Infiniti a couple weeks ago, since I had never used it. The Infiniti gets detailed twice a year, so paint's in good shape. Usually gets Klasse AIO and sealant. The Menzerna was hard to remove, but looks good. Seems like it would never dry. Decided to buy some Blackfire Gloss Enhancing Polish & Wet Diamond All Finish Paint protection for the Cube. "Variety is the spice of life."

Brave man to buy your daughter a black vehicle....

Figure on sealing the paint 4 times a year, not 2. Expect to at least lightly polish it each time as well. I haven't used any of the LSPs you mentioned, I second the suggestion you try all three and use which one you think looks best.
