Ok, This write up wont be as thorough as usual, I had this car for a weekend and had to work on and off the whole time. But needless to say, It was completed and looks amazing!
This clear coat was hard as rock and I had to go over each panel 2-3 times to get the correction that I needed.
The owner LOVES Meguiars products and had like 100 layers of wax and ultimate quick detailer spray on the Tahoe. Which means I had to DAWN wash the thing 2-3 times to knoxk off most of the wax that was on there.
I did't take any washing pics because of time constraints. but here was my process
Dawn wash 2-3 times
Grit Guard w/ 5 gal bucket and 100% sheep skin washmitt
wheel cleaner: Diablo wheel gel from Chemical guys
EZ detail brush to clean wheels.
Clay magic blue clay
misc brushes that you see in all my other write ups.
Here are some Before Sun shots
Here is a 50/50 after about 2 passes with purple foamed wool pad and Meguiars M105 compund.
I took me a few different combo's until I finally found the right one that Cut the paint the best. PFW pad w/ M105 via Flex. some tight areas required me to use my 3" Griot's Garage orbital.
After the Cutting stage I polished the paint using Meguiars M205 Ultimate Polish with a LC hydrotech tangerine pad
I used the Flex 3401 VRG polisher with:
Lake country Purple Foamed Wool pad
Lake country Hydrotech Cyan pad
Lake country hydrotech Tangerine pad
The paint was seal using Black Fire Wet Diamond.
Here are some Final Sun Shots. 97% correction was done, this paint was very hard and needed the big guns brought out to level out the paint correctly.
