I should post this tomorrow instead, but what the heck...
I still need to do the interior and engine bay, which both have some mods worth seeing...I'll add them up tomorrow.
This car I've done at least 3 times before. I usually detail it around this time every year in preparation for the Vettes On The Rockies Show next weekend in the mountains of Breckenridge Colorado. Huge multi-state Corvette show
My only concern is having this car done a week ahead. I hope the owner doesn't mess with it between now and then as far as quick detailing it, washing it and stuff like that he may do during this week
I could see how in just one year, the paint can get abused, even though the owner doesn't drive the car during the Winter, still it had some issues that I could've spent more time fixing, but all he wanted was to "clean the paint and wax". Whatever that means
So, since he wasn't paying for a thorough paint correction, I still gave me him a good bang for his money given that he's a regular...
Process:
Claybar
Menzerna
Prima Amigo
Blackfire Wet Diamond Sealant
After washing the car and claybar, I started to see all the issues on the finish. Lots of swirls, some minor scratches, and lots of water spots
Again, the customer wasn't paying for all of this to be taken care of.
My goal was to polish the whole car with one pass of Menzerna, and whatever this could fix, that would be it. To my surprise it came up aces!
Before:
Water spots that still remained after claybar, and IPA wipedown...
Water spots/swirls gone after one pass:
A couple more before shots..
Afters:
Thanks again for looking...
