I have driven a Trailblazer SS and a Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT-8. My vote will go to the SRT-8 any day of the week, but I give props to GM for trying to keep up.

Hard to compare the 2 really...

the SRT8 is a no compromises, go fast, sports car disguised as an SUV.

the TBSS is still a utility vehicle... it can tow/haul a load and still put down respectable times at the track... the SRT8 doesn't even have a tow hitch or any payload capacity to speak of.

Great work. I'm hoping to get a TBSS when I finally get settled into a house. It would be my weekend vehicle and for towing a boat! They seem to be a wonderful do all vehicle...

How well does the paint clean up? I was thinking about picking up a black one and I was curious about how receptive the paint is to defect removal...

Seemed to finish a lot nicer then my Acura paint, and I was able to remove very light swirl marks with FPII and a white pad very easily. There were a couple of deeper scratches here and there that FPII couldn't cut, but for a brand new car's first polish I decided it really doesn't matter if it's not 100%.

Tow hitch was one of the reasons my Dad went for the TBSS. The SRT8 also uses premium and he said he felt like he was sitting too high.

Thanks for the compliments so far guys.

As in fuel?? You do know that the TBSS is recommended to run premium (91-93) as well right?? GMs factory program does have a low octane table built in to run low grade, but he will see drastically reduced performance and LOTS of knock when running 89 or 87.

Just an FYI.
