Black Benz..weekend plan of attack

My car has had WG Gloss or NXT on it for the winter months..now I want to try something new for summer. Black Benz paint. The plan: wash....clay...Megs #3 Machine Glaze....#16 paste wax...another coat on Sunday. I've never tried this combo before. Anyone think this is OK, or should I change my combo? I'm looking for the dripping-salad oil-look.

Arty, not having worked with #16, I can't comment but it is likely to be a great procedure.

Don't you have the liquid PS? Did that provide you with a lasting wet look?

It's a nice product, however...I can't really use LS with the #3...LS has alot of solvents in it..that's why I was thinking of a pure wax layer on top. I have S100, Collonite 476, Insulator, Gliptone..and I'm going to pick up #16 later today when our auto detail supply guy shows up. I really want to try #3 on the black.

I have not used #3 but hear it is good stuff. However, I have used #16 alot and love it for its shine and durability, a pretty rare combo with carnaubas. I mean, my Toyota truck was still beading after 3 mos of this past winter in New England...

I have used #3 followed by P21S on my Jet Black M3 with good results. You have to be careful not to work the #3 too long as it becomes difficult to remove. Currently I have 2 coats of Wolfgang topped by P21S and I'm also very happy with this combination.
