Hey guys!
Well this certainly was a long day for me. I actually did this car last Friday. I received this client as a referral and this was my first detail for him. His 1997 Bentley Brooklands. He originally wanted a full detail, but when I got there realized that the paint was in good shape and didn't need extensive polishing.
So I suggested wash + sealant + wax along with tire dressing. On the inside I vacumed and did leather cleaning and conditioning. Nothing fancy.

This customer was just great. He offered to buy me lunch, (which I politely declined), but I did accept a couple bottles of cold water while I was working. And we hung out a bit and chatted while I was waiting for the sealant to cure. Turns out he was on wall street on 9/11 and almost died in the aftermath. Right then he decided to quit his high stress job and move to the west coast and relax and enjoy life. The story he told me about that day had quite an impact, just another reminder to enjoy today because there might not be a tommorow. Anyway Process and pics below, questions and comments welcome as always.

PAINT:
Wash with Megs Gold class
Spot clay with mothers yellow clay
light polish with SSR1 LC white pad to prep for sealant PC 3-3.5
EX-P sealant
Natty's Blue
All metal polished with Eagle1 Metal polish

Wheels:
Wash with Megs gold class at much higher concentration
simple green cut 3:1
No-touch tire dressing

Interior:
Vacum
Mothers leather cleaner
Zymol Leather conditioner

The wheels took forever (DEEP rims) and this is the only shot where you can see it so sorry for the redundant picture of the driver side.

Well there it is, the customer was very happy with his results and promised to refer me to his friends in the area. I was pleased that he was happy, but I feel that another coat of Nattys was needed but time ran out. Sorry about the lack on interior shots, none of them came out because I forgot to use the flash. Anyway thanks for looking.
 
Nice car. You made a huge improvement in the paint. In the befores the car looks grey almost. In the afters, it's a nice wet black with great reflections.

I noticed you used Zymol leather conditioner. Which one are you using the one you can buy locally or Zymol Treat? I'd be curious to hear your thoughts on the one you are using. I'm currently looking for a new leather cleaner/conditioner.
 
The hood shots are very wet and reflective. A tribute to Poorboy's products.
Natty's blue is one shiney product.

No I used the OTC stuff, but I like the look of the that link as well. The over the counter Zymol conditioner works really well, it has a nice smell, but you really have to work it in my experience to get uniform coverage and penetration. They recommend using a hair dryer to heat the leather, to open the pores I guess, but I just use my hands and rub it in. The only downside is it makes the leather pretty slick for a few hours.

Do you buff the seats after rubbing in the conditioner?

Yeah after letting it saturate for about 5 minutes I buffed it off with a MF, not very much pressure but very quickly to warm it up a little.
 
Great Job!! Its awesome to have customers that like to chat with you, Im sure you made a great impact on him and he will spread the word.

i was just wondering are their alot of cars like that in your area or was he attracted by word of mouth.. i would love to do car like that even for free hell i would pay ( i linve in calgary were is there is alot of money but noone will spend that kind of money so a bently or a rolls is like WOW. lol)
 
I actually got set up with a rep at a high-end car dealership, (right place right time), who does not have their own in-house detailing service. So typically if they have a customer who calls in or visits and wants to get their car detailed they receive my business card and price list. The salesperson who I deal with is a very nice lady who has trust in me and my practices and has faith that if she refers someone to me that they will be taken care of with the utmost attention to customer service and detail. It really is win-win in this instance, I take care of the cars which makes her look good and she refers the clients to me which makes me look good.

I agree that in Southern California we probably have more than our fair share of high end luxury cars but I do get a lot of referrals for exotics based on the relationship I have with this very nice lady.
 
[sarcasm]I thought there was only one person in the world who knew enough about detailing to work on a Bently! Glad you proved me wrong. I was beginning to miss the huge oversized pictures of the same Bentley from five years ago!![sarcasm/] :) :)

Seriously, very nice work.
 
Nice car, and detail. You really have it shimmering like a black pool.

p.s. -Your customer has a VERY nice looking driveway too! I guess you're not going to live in a trailer park and drive a Bentley (LOL).

It was fun to poke around the Bentley's at the car show last weekend. The build reminds you of a tank -very solid car.
 
CalgaryDetail? where abouts do you live because up the street from my house there are like 3 rolls calgary has plenty of these cars your just not lookin hard enough
 
I love the reflection of the paint. Me and my wife went to dinner last week and their was a brand new black bentley and a rollsroyce parked upfront.the benley was gorgeous. I thought to myself i would love to detail the bentley but, i think i would be to intemidated to do so..How about you guys..

Put any car in front of me and I will detail it. I may not be the most experienced, but I'm not afraid or intimidated to dive head first into a project.
