i just did my red mustang and my black expedition i use 3m smr and meguiars gc wax to top it off the red mustang still has some oxidation .the black expedition had swils marks they are gone but on both cars i think the shine could be better i will post some pics soon as i the digtel cam working. what do u guys use on dark color cars.

I have red cars and use Zaino, I have seen the shine of it on Black to and like it as well. Most people will say that it is your own idea of looking good, some will say they like Z, some K, ect ect....

Lets see those pics :)

I love red cars and like black a lot to;)

i like s100 and zaino on red. I tried Meg's #7 under #26 and didn't liek it.

I say go to harley, get some s100 and the gloss enhancing paintwork cleanser and go to town. Or else you can try somthing like klasse, einszett ect (two which I will soo be trtying)

I love black and red cars! On my black BMW I currently use AIO topped with P21S. I have ordered some Souveran and I hear it looks great on black and red as well.

Post some pics when you get a chance.

Cheers,

My Black 7 Series

Really? I kind of liked it. Not a whole lot of reflection, but it certainly contained a kind of warmth to the finish.

SMR, #7, #26

I have a red corvette and my wife a black cabrio. I use the SMR , GC , #26 and then QD. The reflection on both is awesome.

You might want to try using a paint cleanser ( pinnacle, P21S GEPC, IHG,etc) after the SMR to really enhance the gloss and paint smoothness prior to topping with the protectant of your choice. Personally I prefer a carnuaba-like appearance to my black and red cars. If you have a daily driver that requires stronger protection a sealant like Zaino or Klasse will serve your purpose and still produce a fantastic appearance. The majority of your gloss will come from the prep and I feel that a final polish with a cleanser will always improve the gloss of darker colors.

on the mustang will i have to remove all of the wax, smr. i would to do i over. because the hood and trunk still has some oxidation.
