Black & alloy wheels

Hello,
Amateur here, with a new black Ridgeline.
These wheels are listed as machine finished alloy.The black is glossy.
How would you take care of them? I'm looking at Meguiar's Hot Rims Brake Dust Barrier. The Detailer's wax and glaze look kind of difficult.(Remember, amateur, novice)
The truck is going over mud, dust & small gravel, but not off-road.
LOVE these wheels, have to keep them looking good?
All help appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Any good wheel cleaner is going to work as long as it's a regular process..my preference is PB Spray and Rinse, and I dilute it 1 to 4 parts cleaner to water. What ever you decide on dilute the solution to about what I suggested and increase that if needed.

Brushes would be the next best thing, I use the large and small Daytona Speed brush, hands down ONE of the best on the market for rims.

Lastly for protection and shine, you want a wheel product like a sealant or wax...Standard paint waxes are not as heat durable as wheel designed products, and can wear off pretty fast

The one I use all the time is PB Wheel Sealant, excellent on rims like yours.
 
I did not realize PB Spray and Rinse was dilutable. Are you saying to dilute specifically for the rim type or just in general? Just picked my first botte of it and used it this weekend. I really like it and if I can dilute it and make it lasts even longer that would be even better!

As in a lot of products you can dilute to fit the cleaning process better, sometimes at 100% is just over kill.

I dilute the PB S&R at the suggestion of Steve and have for years, with no cleaning issues..If I'm working on nasty rims then I go 100%.

Also don't forget about good dwell time of the product.. to many people want to spray the cleaner on, brush and rinse...the product hasn't had the time to react with the water in most cases. I let the cleaner sit on the rim for a few minutes, then brush and rinse.
 
If you take care of your wheels like you should all you need is car soap and water ,nothing fancy or any harsh wheel cleaners .

Klasse sealant glaze is one of the best durable wheel/paint sealants. Thats all you need and your wheels will wash up very easily with soap and water.
