Black Again product review (kinda)

I recently received the the starter kit from Valugaurd and used the products on my Ford ranger ,,I really liked the results from the one-step,cleaner/polish. The rubber dressing I liked for the tires and the rubber seals on doors ,,,but thought it was too shiney on the vinyl interiour. Was wondering if it could be toned down some by maybe more buffing or something?? Thanks for all the info on here

Just water it down. Its a PMDS dressing i beleive, and by adding water, it will spread it thinner, leaving less gloss. I remember RonK saying this about water based dressings.

Just put it on and let it set for only 15 to 30 seconds and wipe dry with a dry cloth. Find the time, based on temperature and humidty that allows just enough resin to set to the gloss level you are looking for.

That will give you exactly what you are looking for.

Good luck and any questions, just give a call or an email to the office, that is what we are there for.

Well, officially it's not a really detailed review. I have been using BLACK AGAIN for trim for a while now and have been constantly amazed at the results this product produces, even on faded black trim. Bumpers, mirrors, even the metal wiper arms all look like new. Well yesterday I was doing a Jeep Wrangler that had lots of faded fender flares and asst trim. I really should have gotten more before pics but I wasn't planning this post til I moved to the faded hardtop.

This Jeep was used and he had just purchased it. I told the guy I would do my best to restore the black to the flares and trim and see what I could do about the roof( I was unsure there) .... It was so faded that when I told him this he looked at me stunned and said " I thought the trim and roof were Gray!".

Anyway, the trim came out great and I did a test on the hard roof with BLACK AGAIN. Holy crap!! Looked like new. Here is a pic so you can see. Remember this is a CLEAR liquid with no dye in it. I highly recommend everyone try this stuff. It's cheap too!!

Rich,

Nice review. I used this on my wife's 1999 Toyota Avalon. The side trim between the front and rear side windows. While it did restore the black, I found that it seemed to be runny on a hard smooth surface. The next day, I just buffed it out with a MF and it looked great.

Not sure about unpainted trim, but it holds up as well as any other dressing in foul weather. I have never done a side by side comparison, but I would say it seems to last longer on exterior trim than Hyper-dressing and similar products.
