Hello All. I am new posting, but I have been reading autopia for quite a while now. I have an 03 Acura CL-S, color is nighthawk black pearl. About November and early December I set out to protect my car's finish from the NE Winter.



Heres the process:



NXT Wash

No Clay (didn't need at time)

P21S Paintwork Cleansing Lotion

NXT x 2 Over a couple of days

Collinite 476s ( I ended up adding another coat a couple of weeks later)



I was reallly impressed with Collinite, I read its function is to protect, but it looked reallly good. I had no problems with application or removal.

Since taking these pictures, I have gotten myself a PC, lots of mf, lots of wolfgang and pinnacle products, and s100. Looking forward for this spring to detail.

Thanks for the compliments. Acura's paint is very soft, I can't get away from rock chips and anything else like that.



I couldn't host a larger size of my 2nd picture, otherwise you would have seen the orange peel.



I tell you what, I was really impressed with Collinite. I think it easily lasted all winter.



n1976jmk - I don't have navi, but mine is a 6 speed m/t.

I have the 6-speed, its the auto trannies that have had the problems. (if thats what you mean)



The trunk isn't debaged and I am a memeber at acurazine.
 
i need to take some pics of mine but jsut got it about 4 weeks ago and has been to cold to do anything to it, and it does need some real work too!! this cold weather and snow is killing me!!
