Black 1500 detail

I had my taekwon-do instuctors black 1500 to detail today. Man is this thing ever a huge sucker. I could barely fit it into my garage. I felt so small next to it.

It was a simple enough detail. No polish but it still turned out nicely

Process:

Pre-soaked with p21s total autowash
Wash car with optimum no rinse (this stuff is awsome)
Dried car
Worked on wheels
needed p21s gel wheen cleaner and some big arms lol
clayed using megs clay
Wiped down
Applied klasse spray and gloss (decided he needed a sealent)
I let it dry while I did the inside
Wiped off the SG with a mf cloth and victoria wax detail spray (i love the sprayer on this, it gives a fine mist instead of a stream like many)

Befores: (there are not many)

Looks good.:bigups

The ONR seems to be able to handle a pretty dirty vehicle. I probably would have run that one through the DIY spray wash first. Did the P21S Total Auto Wash take a lot of the dirt off during the pre-soak?

Thanks, and I find that the TAW almost pulls the dirt off. It's still on the paint but it comes off alot easier. Its almost like its lifts it off the paint and the ONR wisks it away.

I put the p21s in a chemical sprayer so I can get a fine mist on the whole car (of course only on detail jobs when I'm claying). It seems to eat away at the grime so that when I do use the ONR there are no problems.

I guess it just makes the ONR better.

The total autowash also isnt very expensive when you get the 5 litre thing and then cut it 10 to 1 (10 water).

I dunno, it seams to work well for me

Interesting. I have never used the P21S TAW, but I have used the S100 Total Cycle Cleaner which seems to be very nearly the same product. I didn't look at the instructions lately, but I don't remember anything about a 10:1 dilution ratio for it. That seems like stretching it pretty thin.

That's the important thing.

directions what are those? :notme:

I do stretch it thin but I'm only using it as a pre soak. I dont use it to get rid of brake dust or clean heavy dirt. It's just an added step to make life easier.

I dont think I would be able to do much else at 10:1 but luckily i have more than enough products for other jobs
