Did my buddies rabbit today, it sat for a year so it was in pretty rough shape, it cleaned up very well at least. The sad thing that spurred it on is he' selling it... I didn't really need to go to aggressive with it(well the wash was pretty aggressive:nervous2: )

I washed/clayed. Then got some of the deeper stuff with optimum compound and polish white/black pads 900/1500. them moved to my poli seal/fmj/OP mix speed 6 with a black pad and topped with nattys blue.

sorry just some basic before and afters.

Excellet job! That Rabbit brings back memories of the one I had, a 77 body with 84 GTI engine with dual Mikuni 40's.

What?! That's unbelievable! If I was your friend, I would find it hard to believe that you weren't playing a trick on me by swapping out cars. I have a feeling he's not going to sell it now :) Nice work!

Super job. The hood looked like black primer in the before picture.

Too bad it isn't a diesel.... I'd be all over it if it was :)

I miss my '79 Rabbit Diesel :D

Wow! Thanks for all the good comments! I think he wants like 8k for it. he swapped in a 1.8t and put a T3/T4 on so yeah its pretty quick it runs a 12 something, but he built for auto cross/track racing. Its definitely the fastest car ive driven, the only thing close to it was his S4 with k04's in it:drool:

CF hoods arnt to hard to do, And I think I spent around 4 hrs on it with touching up the interior and engine.

Thanks again.
