Black '04 Z06

The car is 2004 Z06 Corvette with Mallet suspension and wheels. I was contacted to do a good clean-up and partial defect removal on this Z06. Vette clear is such a pain to work with, but overall it turned out well.



Interior Process:

Vacuum

Wipedown with damp MF



Exterior Process:

Optimum APC on wheels/tires/wells

NXT wash

Zaino Z18 Clay w/ Wipe and Shine for lube

Poorboy's SSR 2.5 w/ polishing pad

Klasse AIO w/ polishing pad

Zaino Z6 wipedown

Zaino Z2 Pro

Zaino Z8

Armor All on tires

nice work on a lightning fast car, but he ought to lose those trans-am stripes on the hood.

The stripes run the whole length of the car (on top), and they are painted and cleared. The hood is carbon fiber.

Sal doesn't recommend SSR polishes under Zaino. ;) On the other hand it works fine for me.

Nor does he recommend AIO under Zaino, but those products are what this situation called for. I gave it a good wipedown with Z6, so hopefully that will help out. Normally I would have gone a different route.

Nice job! Never get a chance to work on cars like that. Awfully low to the ground.



Have used AIO often when it comes to Zaino Z2pro. Seems to work fine. With the advent of Zpc I have not been using AIO as of late.
 
Good work Zane. Hadn't seen those wheels before. I'm about to redo mine and will be putting some pictures up of her soon. It won't look near as good as that black beauty.

Those are Mallett wheels, but someone else makes then as well. Someone on the corvetteforum can tell you.
 
Terrific job, Zane-the Vette looks amazingly black even in the direct sun! Glad to see others are using AIO under Zaino. Worked great for me too. :)
