Black 03 Cobra .....

Today I detailed my friends 03 Cobra. He didn't have a lot of time to stay, so I made the best of it with the time we had. The car wasn't real bad, but did have some swirls. I think it turned out OK.......I think I got it to 85-90% swirl free. There was still some slight marring, but with what I used, those weren't coming out.

He was really happy with it, but I wish I had more time for a few extra steps. What was cool is that he helped me with it...:grinno:



The process...

Washed with California Gold

FPII/RMG mix (70/30) Wolfgang white pad

Souveran Liquid 2x

Meguires Hot shine(tires)

303 for trim and interior

Meguires NXT window cleaner



I wanted to clay the car, but he really didn't have time.

Again....it's not perfect, but it looks a lot better than it did. I told him to promise me another shot at it and he agreed.:2thumbs:

Thanks Nimble......yeah...that car is sick....I think he's putting down about 411hp to the wheels. Very fun car.....probably in the lower 12's.



Scottwax....the combo was light, but I only had one shot at it and figured that mix/pad combo would keep me from having to go around it again.....and he wanted 2 coats of wax. If I had more time, I would have taken the OC with an orange pad and then followed with the step I did, but again...he had to go.



I have a question.....how do you get the pesky dust off at the end....it seemed like no matter what towel I used, I couldn't get rid of some of the dust. I swear I spent 15 minutes out in the sun just wiping off dust. Really very irritating.

LOL I love the Here Hemi...Hemi. I dislike those trucks so much. Thinking there little Hemi is the sweetest thing known to man...sorry just a small vent. Great pics though!
