1 Clean WS6
Detailing Rottweiler
I've been a very bad detailer since I bought my first bottle of NXT...it has sat at home with my personal detail supplies and has only been used on my own vehicles (maybe its because it smells so yummy). Today I decided that one of my regular clients vehicles would be the perfect test bed for the NXT and its swirl hiding abilities. The vehicle is an '02 Pontiac TA with 14K on it. Since the owner lives about a 40 minute drive away from me I only detail it once every three months or so. Between my details the owner usually goes to those $20 hand wash places that seem to be everywhere down here in the south...so when I show up it is usually a matter of damage control.
After washing with Gold Class wash I could see that the illegal alien car wash men were angry at the TA these past months...more swirls than normal. I prepped the car with Meg's #9 using my PC set at 5.5 and a Meg's 8006 pad. I'd say 90% of the swirls came out...the paint really needed some #82 but I was unprepared for how bad the car would be and did not have it with me. I followed the #9 with NXT applied by hand using a fresh foam applicator. I let the Tech Wax sit on the vehicle while I vacuumed and cleaned the interior (approx. 1/2 hour) then removed with a MF. In all I was VERY pleased with this combo. The finish is super glossy and reflective. It really could have used a more aggressive prep....I will remember this for the next visit. I would have taken some before pics but it was 40, breezy and overcast today so I was in a bit of a rush....WHERE IS SPRING!!! I know that sounds like a heatwave to the northern folk....but my blood is southern thin
Enjoy,
Mike
