Does anyone use this as a vaccum and a stain remover? I have a shop vac for big jobs its like a 3 or 5 gallon. I manly need it for stain removal. Also will APC make foam in it?

They also have some refur. pro heat ones for like 49.99 is that a better deal.

I have one that I have been using for a coupel of years. They work great for cars as long as you are not doing aloot of them, for weekend use which is what I use to for it was a great buy.

Two draw backs are the recovery tank is small os you are stopping and starting a lot fo empty and refill. The hose is not to long and you are having to move it alot as you go threw the car.

For stains I think that it did as good a job as any that I have seen, for the money.

Where are you seeing them at that price I need to guy a new one mines woren out.

ebay, ebay, ebay.

is the heated one better? Does it really do that better of a job. They have the regular little green machine for like 19.99 on ebay.

I have the heated model so can't speak about the non=heated model. However the heated model also comes with a pro brush that really helps on the hard to get out stains. I would go for the heated model.

If you can paste the link at ebay I bite looking at that site thanks

Heh! I had looked at that auction... I was wondering what her secret "source" was. Obviously it had to be a place that anybody could buy from, since she makes the big stink about not revealing her source in feedback. Harumph. :)

Had the chance to detail today and decided to use the last of the solution that came with my LGM as opposed to the Rug Renew from TOL I have been using. WHAT A DIFFERENCE.....that was the last time I'll use that. It foams up a ton, and I can remember why people yap about having to dump the recovery tank so often......soooo much foam. :nono :angry

I'm glad I found something that works well for me now :bigups

is that the only cleaner that does not foam up?

i bought some DE-foamer from rugdoctor to put in the recovery tank on my little green and that cures the trouble of the foaming in the tank

A defoamer works in it, I've tried it, but why go through the hassle of having yet another product that doesn't really do much for you? :dunno

I've got a 6.5 hp Craftsman wet/dry vac that I used to use all the time for carpet extraction and it doesn't do the job of the LGM plus it takes a hell of a lot longer~~

Nick,
I thought you had a carpet extractor. Or are you using the LGM as a supplement? So your overall opinion is that it is worth the money?

I meant to post this a while back, I rented a steam cleaner from U-Haul for 20.00/day. Yes this actually did heat the water. I'm sure it is not as good as the extractor that other people use, but no the less @ 20 bucks it's not bad. I lined up 5 cars that day for interior details. The one I rented actually worked better if I dumped the water in hot, but it did heat it up to about 180 degree's. For the most part it did do a good job. Here is a link to U Haul Carpet Cleaner

OI812 that carpet cleaner from u-haul is actually made by a company named Thermax and i see them regularly on e-bay with and without heat, just another option for something better than a lgcm but less than a new extractor :)

I'm sure there not as good at Mytee extractors, but hey it's a good alternative. I will have to check out e-bay.
