Bissell little green clean machine

I read a review somewhere that said the version with the heater had a problem with soap residue burning and gumming up the heating element. If you used plain water, I suppose you would not have this problem.

*note: I don't own this unit/ just repeating info I read.

I got my heated version for $75 and it heats the water 25 degrees hoter than what you put in there. And I cant amagine haveing a problem with gumming issues since it only heats it up this much. Tell you what though since there is so much controversy on this site about proper cleaning of interior, I think im going to get the handheld extractor from tol

Must be new or different models. When i bought mine and did some research thats what i read. I happened to speak to someone who fixes them (not for the purpose of research, just someone i knew), he said for the price the heated version isn't worth it because it only heats about 10 degrees. He could have been wrong though.

Sean, why don't you try out the Bissell and see how well it works for you first? There are enough people who are satisified with it that I think it's a good little extractor for a weekend detailer.

With almost any product you float on a board like this there will be some who love it, some who hate it, some who think it made their hair fall out, and even some who think they lost 25 pounds after using it ;) . Sometimes you just gotta try something and see how well it works for you.

Yeah, because I went into the garage and read the box and it says 25, unless they over rate it..it isnt uncommon these days on anything

The PowerSteamer ProHeat Series features a heating element which increases the temperature of the water and solution up to an additional 25 degrees than the temperature of water placed in the tanks, before dispensing onto the floor. The maximum temperature is approximately 180 degrees Fahrenheit.

The heating element will not maintain the temperature of the water in the tank and does not apply when using the upholstery attachments.

Finally had the chance to use my new bissel and it could not have happened at a better time. Had a interior job to do today on a customers car and let me tell you this car had not been cleaned in months. Talked to the owner about the last time the car was cleaned and she said well over a year. There were stains and the carpet was discolored. The Bissel did a great job I pretreated everything and let it sit for a few minutes then went back over with another spray and started scrubbing. The carpet came out looking brand new, The only thing I do not like about it is the suction. I feel that it could have a little more power in this area, but besides that the tool is great. I did not really use the turbo brush on it, I feel that it is useless, but the water heater on it worked well and the solution got preety warm. Best $75 dollars I have ever spent.

I got the Bissel Spotlifter for 25. I love it. Cordless and it comes with solution. I use it all the time and it only sucks if you run the battery out you can run it on AC. It works great on cleaning the car. There solution with oxyclean is the best. You can't beat the price and the size.

I bring it to my clients just to clean up there carpets and they always say, "i want that!"

if your using it with the little resevoir that comes with the Spot lifter then a spoon full. If your using the bigger machine go by the mixing ratio on the back of the oxy. It breaks it up much easier and I have absolutely no stains on my mats and floors. I've only owned it for a year and it's a '01. In snowy cold NE Ohio
