Bissell Green Machine

Green Monster

I just got a new toy, the Bissell Green Machine it works great. I bought it at Sears for a $100.

Its has a built in heater to heat the water/solution for a like steam cleaning action and has a power brush too. It works great, the carpet was actually steaming and the power brush seams to scrub pretty good.

My carpet wasn't that dirty so it wasn't that good of a test. I mainly bought it for sucking the water and cleaner out of my carpet (like a mini extractor). Works great for that.

Heres some pic of machine:

I think it was a good investment. :xyxthumbs

(and yes I took the seats out, its only 4 bolts each)

Do you think it would be the perfect tools to clean rugs that used to be the shade of your rug but are black from years of abuse?

Your gonna make me spend another 100.00 your an evil man :p

Great job....I've never taken the seats out....WHat if they have computer / electrical connections to adjust the seats...can that be easily disconnected..??

Yeah, under the seat there is usually a connector that can be unplugged. Just remember to plug it back in when you are done;)

I am sure that would be alittle more involved but there should be a conector so you can unplug them. Mine had one on the driver side seltbelt, you know the one that makes the dinging sound until you put your seatbelt on. I just unplug it.

With the seats out it makes the job so much easier and you can really do a thorough cleaning!

If they are really dirty scrub them with a heavy-duty cleaner and a scrub brush, then use the machine and watch all the dirt you will suck up. It works well but not sure if it works miracles?

I know it's another $100 but it wasn't my idea I learn of this on this web site so just add it to the list of money I have spent because of this web site. Its all good though.

It is just the life of another AUTOIAN!

Just make sure that you torque the bolts back to spec's so that you don't have any problems or create a dangerous situation.

Nothing worse than hitting the breaks hards and having the seat fly into the dash. :)

After looking at the sears online catalog I might go for one of the little handheld steamers for about 30 bucks, then again i could get the big one for 60 bucks more.

AHH!!

I hate you autopia (jk you know I love my car hehe)

I have two problems with the bissel. It is too loud, and it takes forever to extract all the water. Other than ear ringing, and a lot of time spent going over places to make sure the water is out, it's a good product.
