Okay got my bissel little green machine today in the mail, works excellent I use it on my corvette and got a lot of dirt and debris out of the carpet,

But Ive hit a snag. I was using it on my customers floor mats (carpet),and cant get the stains out :( Ive tried the little green machine, Woolite, mean green, and a carpet shampoo, When I changed out the dirt collector (three times) for the lgm it was almost solid black, there was a lot of dirt built in this carpet, I worked a good hour today on the mustangs floor mats

Any suggestions?

The only thing I haven't tried is Folex.

Pressure washer maybe?

Ill try that out tomorrow, that's what I usually do and let them set in the sun for a while.

I usually presoak them at the car wash and pressure wash them after they have presoaked for about 5 mins and watch the dirt fly off them.

I recently used my LGM as well and tried them on 10+yr old carpet matts...had some set stains and used Folex....I heavily sprayed them, let them soak in for about 5 minutes, then used a scubbing brush dunked into some water bucket and used some elbow grease...that really helped get 95% of the stains out.

I followed by using the included 8oz carpet cleaner the LGM came with and spent a good hour extracting them. They came out really good!

I also use Folex in my LGM, but for floor matts it seems easier to pre treat with APC+ and just pressure wash them off.

Soak the mats in a tub. Position the mats so that the shag is down.

Leave them in there for a few hours. Every now and then agitate them

a little. You will be amazed how much dirt and grime comes out of

these mats with little work using this method. Then vacuum the

water out, folex any left over stains and use your LGCM then.

You can also pressure wash after the soak and then vacuum and

LGCM

This is exactly what I do when I'm dealing with serious funk. I've got a small kiddy swimming pool for this task. I typically add a bit of laundry detergent to the water. It's superior and simplistic.

I hang the mats to dry overnight.

DetailnByDustn, how do you find the suction on the LGM? I bought mine (Bissell Auto Care Proheat) about 3 weeks ago and am disappointed by the low suction. The carpet seems to be still quite wet and I have to keep going over it multiple times to get the water out. The Turbo Brush that comes with mine spins quite slowly and so I don't really use the Turbo Brush.

Last time I detailed the X5 I resorted to using my Bissell Garage Pro Vac, which has a LOT better suction and left the carpet nearly dry.

I'm starting to wonder if perhaps there is something wrong with my Bissell Auto Care Proheat. It does the job, but the suction really lacks.

Byk, if you have the 1.5" hose for your Pro Vac, put the end of the LGCM on your Pro Vac and you will have a turbo charged carpet extractor, works wonders if in fact your Pro Vac is a wet vac also.

I always follow up my LGM with my shop vac.

I did that and it does work .I also used the regular brush nozzle to extract water with the Garage Vac as it's see-thru - I'm amazed at how much more water the garage vac takes out after the LGM.

But then I'm just wondering if I should simply put the solution in a spray bottle and just use my Garage Vac for the whole thing. I may still have time to return the LGM. The low suction really let me down.

Also, the spray pattern on the LGM is too wide.

I use a spray bottle for my APC at 4:1, and a seperate bottle for just clean water for the rinse, works great for me. I would like see the brush nozzle you are speaking of that is clean, as I find that the LGCM head has a rather narrow opening to draw in carpet for extraction.

The brush nozzle is a bit too narrow, I agree, but if it was any wider the suction would get even weaker (as in the turbo brush)

I read a lot of stories about how Folex has performed miracles on horrible stains.:chuckle:

I used it for the FIRST time today on a Tiburon(sp). Black interior.

Every stain came out. I love it. OP, where did you get the Green Machine from?

I've found my LGM to be very useful for general cleaning, but for the massive stuff, it's a tough one. It doesn't handle suds very well from high foaming APC's, cleaners, etc...

Top of the Line makes a product called Rug Renew that I've been using with the LGM and like well. Been doing that for about 4 years now.

I wonder if they just sell that head piece, I like the looks of that one, and the fact that it is all clear..pretty cool!!

Hello folks,

Can someone tell me exactly what is Foles (wonder cleaner maybe?), and where might one purchase the product....many thanks,

Nic
