Bird Bombs How to?

Alright my car was lookin' sweet the other day and I walk out to my car and notice a bird had left me a little present or shall I say a big one. That bird has got a weird diet and I think he has it in for me! Anyway when I had gotten home I tried to remove it. It probably had been on there half a day 6-8 hours at the most. Well I used Eimann Fabrik clear pearl and a MF to get it off but it seems like I'm having to rub way too hard to get it off, and it worries I might end up hrting the paint cause it was dried on there and I even let the QD soak in a minute or so! So any suggestions for the easiest and most delicate way to remove these w/O hurting anything. Thanks:up

My usual remedy is to soak a terry towel in water and place it on top of the area that has been "soiled." After a few minutes, I come back and pick it all up in one swoop. I then follow it with whatever wax is closest.

Bird Excrement:

Contain highly acidic concentrates, which if left for any length of time will etch the paint film surface, so they should be removed without delay. They also contain seed and sand, first use detailers clay to remove any grit etc, wipe immediate area with a solvent cleaner, then thoroughly flush with clean water, re-apply protectant. If the paint film surface has been etched it may require an abrasive polish to level the surface.

~Hope this helps~

I keep a MF and some QD in my trunk and use it immediately.

I apply some QD to the spot and some QD on the MF, place it over the spot, and let it soak a minute or two. I then clean and QD the spot gently as possible.

As soon as I can: I'll wash, clay, and re-apply protectant, as needed.

I'll risk some minor scratches cleaning with QD immediately, over etched paint.
