Billy The Exterminator.....

I can't wait! I had vowed to use up my bottle of Meguiar's #20 polymer sealant before trying BlackFire or Zaino, and there is still a good deal left...it will last a few years at least...but then my fellow Autopians reminded me that the #20 can be used on furniture! My desk has never beaded water so well! :)

I am going to order one of the BlackFire kits as soon as they are available. The prospect of a major advance in detailing technology is very exciting!

While I am getting married in February and need to save money for that expensive day, I am even considering ordering the Blackfire kit that comes with the Porter Cable.

By the way, while BlackFire claims that it combines the deep shine of a wax with the protection of a polymer, I plan to try a wax topper after 10 coats or so. I really like my Blitz and Show-Off. I don't want to give them up!

I gotta admit I'm kinda torn between ordering the Souveran kit or waiting and seeing what Blackfire has in store for us....cuz afterall Dave B told us it give a Souveran-like shine.

From what I've seen of souveran I don't think anything can give that type of shine. I would imagine that Blackfire is better looking after 3 months than Souveran but as far as instant gratification I think Souveran is going to be the way to go.

Just get em both. Put 10 or 12 coats of Blackfire on and then top it with a layer of Souveran every other week. :) Ah....that would be the life...

As others have said here, I'm keenly interested in Blackfire, but will wait until I read a few real life reviews. If it seems shinier, better protecting, easier to use and longer-lasting than Klasse, I'll buy it.

Price will dictate. IT seems it is designed to compete with the new Z stuff so who ever has the lower price gets my money first!

the polish is basicaly some very refined mild polishes for surface enhancement (feathering of swirls) and polymer fillers, whcih should last as long as the protectant on top does.

Of course it doesnt have any protectionbut i have used some systems like this, some non-polymers like mothers sealer and glaze. They say the the wax/polymer based glaze that you use has no long term affects unless sealed in with some form of protection, this is what Terry and the other chemists at Mothers were explaiing to me.

I would think that if you top the polish with the protectant, it will last as long as the protectant. I don't see how the polish, which is covered by the protectant can last any less....

It will be very interesting to see how Blackfire holds up and compares in look to Klasse and Zaino. I really prefer the look of Klasse with a Blitz or Souveran topper, so if Blackfire looks as good without the wax.....I'm in!!!

Couldn't agree any more Darbh. As for myself, I probably won't be one of the first to try the new CMA product. I'll wait a while and enjoy reading all the opinions from everyone. Laters.

I ordered Blackfire yesterday...the whole system. I hadn't gone over my $300 per month limit on detailing stuff yet, so I figured I'd give it a whirl....oh yeah...I ordered a few other little items from CMA while I was at it and the total was just over $200, so I still have a little room for a few other things before December rolls around... ;)

HOLY SMOKE!! But then again I guess you have 4 cars to detail. :)

Another hit show

It features this dude named Billy from Louisiana who is an exterminator.

It also should be noted. This guy is rockin a mullett :o

Its on now...A&E :wizard:

This is a great show. I can't believe some of the things this guy has to deal with. I wonder how much the pay him to go after 'gators? You couldn't pay me enough..lol.

Is it me or has the show started looking more like a Dog the Bounty Hunter knock off, with the chessy wanted posters and briefing meetings?
