I currently use a lighted message board in front of my shop to advertise specials. To my knowldge I don't think I have gotten any customers from this form of advertising. My question is this for you guys that use this type of sign what kind of messages do you put up that have actually drawn customers? please share. your feedback is important.:beer:

I use mailings mostly. Signs just don;t do it for me.
not sure how much room you have on the sign, but a couple of suggestions:
1. "Don't be embarrassed driving your car, call us 5551212" or variation of
2. "Ask us what is new"( assuming you could offer a new service/feature/promotion)
3. "Does your neighbor's car look better than yours?"
4. "Free gift with a complete detail" typically i give a g.certificate for a free wash,vac,window

is your sign a lighted background with letters? Or is it one of those digital signs where you can program what ever you want? These signs always catch my eye being that they're exploding in different colors with different messages. Seems like alot of signage is going this route.
