Biggest Detail I have ever done vs. 4 Dump Trucks

GlossyTundra

Tractor Detailer
Whew! I am beat after working on these all day. A local paving company that my uncle works for owns these trucks. The asphalt plant spilled spots of tar on each of the trucks hoods and they were paying me to remove the tar and give the trucks a good wash/wax. I still have 2 more tandem dump trucks to do, but they arent as nice looking as these.

My process on the trucks was,

Degrease tires, wells, frame, motor with Purple Power 2:1 and scrub with brush and spray with pressure washer.

Wash paint and dump body with DP auto shampoo. Tar removed with Majestic Solutions Auto Solvent.

Paint got AIO with DP Premium Spray Shield as a final wipe down.

Tires got Majestic Solutions Super Dressing.

Frame/wells got NO-Touch Extreme Shine.

Rims got DP PSS and DP 4-N-1 as a final wipe!

First up is a 2006 Peterbuilt.

More to come.

Ok, these next ones were on a deadline, so no individual pics. The black ones are 2005 Sterlings, and the grey one is a 1996 Ford.

Overall, I am happy with the way these rigs came out. The owners were happy, and I got to drive some big rigs for a few hours.

Thanks for looking

That had to of been fun as **** driving one of them. Props for that, probably busted your *** on those trucks. So much to do.

Yeah, it was fun cranking up some big CAT motors and driving them for a while. I tried to shift into 4th gear and spun the wheels in the field they were in. I really just had fun on this detail.

WOW! Unbelievable job. I can't believe you managed FOUR trucks in one day. I think it would take me a week to do one as well as you did. AWESOME.

:bow :bow What an amazing amount of work to take on, much less complete in such a short time. I bow my head in admiration to you sir.

The wheel work is almost as impressive as the volume of work that you did. Loved the thread!! Very enjoyable to see a fleet of trucks that look like that!!

Thanks everyone. The trucks only took 1/2 gallion of tire shine each. Actually, the material cost for the trucks were only $50 with my help wanting $100. All total these trucks brought in $600. That is really good for my area.
