Who here does polishing on the big trucks? I might have a company that wants us to do alot of trucks. Right now all I know they want the rims polished. What products and equipment do you use. I have polished motorcycle wheels and frames before but I want as much info as possible.

There are a ton of different of ways that you can go.
What do you want to do, how many of them are there?

You can sand the wheels and hit them with metal polish, You can just acid wash them and get them 75%, you can use Rouge and Tripoli with a drill motor and polish them. It depends on the effort and condition of the rims.

I still need to find out more info. They said some weeks they might not need me at all. Some weeks they could need me for a week straight. So I think its going to be a lot of rims. And I don't know if its the full truck or just the wheels. I'll post up when I have more info.

well too bad I just sign up with detail city two weeks ago and I am in Arkansas . Because I would have helped you. And detail city needs to take off the old forums that arent up to date.Common detail city I thought this was supposed to for professional people and be kept up to date to help the newcomers or other pro's
 
welcome sharpimages 4 posts and you are already complaining ... this is a great site for friendly people . we dont bash each other here like other sites . our moderators put the kabash to that stuff real fast so please enjoy the forum and feel free to share your experiences here ...
