Big problem!!

I was crusing down the road doing 55 coming home from a detail when somone walked off the curb into the street. I slammed the brakes, ABS kicked in and i heard everything in the back of my truck shift, then BAM! I felt somthing large hit the bed section of my truck. I keep going thinking it was prob my wet dry vac sliding forard.

I get home to find that 3 bottles had been thrown out of their baskets against the part of the bed of my truck which is nearest the cab. 1 is goo gone, another is a bgug remover, and the last is Meg's. W dressing. I had a chamois in there too, which got covered.

I washed the chamois, thoughit it was clean and layed it on the hood of my truck.. Now I have a oil spot there! It looks like oil floating on water. The clolrful look. I tried dawn, and APC+ on it, but it doesn't budge. It actually sheeted both of them! I had to soak my wash mitt in each and lay it over the spot to make sure it tried to penetrate, but nothing!

How can I remove this? I have no idea! I do not want to use brake cleaner on the hood of my truck!

HHHHHEEEEEEEEEEEELLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLPPPPPPPPPPPPPPP!!!!!!

sam,

Tough break there buddy, sorry to hear about that.

As for the stain I am not sure what you would do other than buffing it out, or at least trying to do so.

It seems as though the clear coat might have a permanent stain there and nothing short of a wet sanding and a re-shoot will take care of it. Check with a good paint and body shop.

Sam take a few pictures tomorrow..it's hard to say without seeing it....I imagine I'd probably start where Scott said..polish first...

3M's Wax and adhesive remover might be worth a try but like scott said, try polishing it with something real mild and by hand. What concentration of APC+ did you use?
