BHAB gone bad?

I was looking to trade my BHAB to another member and when I went to look at it, it looks like it has gotten moldy. I'm assuming it is no longer good? It was stored properly. I don't get it?

Does look pretty gross, eh? I don't believe I would trust it to perform correctly.
