BFWD Problem? Very strange

I didn't have a paint can shaker I thought I was sooooo cool thinking of the flex ideal lol

That actually is a good idea using the flex. I was kidding about the paint shaker. :P
I can def see myself giving the bottle to my dog and have him shake it around while in his mouth. Lol

Guys I think it was a random fluke as I took the bottle taped it my flex(just to ensure it was shakin to the max) and its fine on my car now. So maybe it just need to taped to the bottom of a flex on speed 6 for 2 min straight to ensure proper shaking :rockon

Using your flex as a shaker was a great idea!:rockon

Very glad I caught this thread. First thing I did when I got all my BF products a couple weeks ago was shake them. The WD sounded very watery so I opened it and it was all separated. Shook the crap out of the bottle and still didn't look like it was all the way mixed up. I'm going to try the taping it to the DA trick before I use it!

it should be lotion-ey for sure.

Never had a problem with BFWD not beading like mad. Perhaps it got wet before it cured? I generally try to keep the car dry for 24 hours if using a regular sealant. I recall Todd posting that like BFWD cures 95% in 3 hours and 100% in 24 or something close to that.

Two things I can think of...

1. It separated, which somebody who uses it would notice right away.
2. It was exposed to moisture too soon. Although, during testing, I have nailed the surface with extreme spray minutes after wipe off and found only a slight degradation in durability.

Give it another shot, and if somebody is wrong with that bottle shoot me a PM.

I've only had 1 car that exhibited this phenomenon, a 2003 Toyota Camry XLE. Regardless of what sealant I used, in less that 2 weeks the protection had vanished.

I compounded then polished the finish, I tried straight paint cleaners. Before applying any sealant I cleaned the paint with several different cleaners, not all at once. CarPro Eraser, Griot's Paint Prep, Klean Strip Prep-All and an IPA solution.

I topped each panel with a different sealant; Ultima Paint Guard Plus, BlackFire Wet Diamond, Menzerna Power Lock, and Optimum Opti-Seal...but in the end the results were the same....:wall

I'm at a loss for an explanation....possibly the paint?

Todd-after watching the AutoGeek video where you use BFWDAFPP on the black Camaro, the consistency and color looked similar to BF TPnS (hope the smell is similar too!). Is that what I should be looking for the first time I use it to know that I have it mixed up well? Thanks.
