BF Wet Diamond questions

So I'm getting my first bottle of Wet Diamond. What is the best pad to apply it with? I would like a bit of versatility in the pad (like the ability to apply a sealant and an LSP) because funds are somewhat limited and I want to get several of the same color so I can switch them out instead of stopping to clean one pad three times during work.
Also, I have a bottle of Meg's NXT Tech Wax. Is there any reason I shouldn't apply it over the WD or would it be a waste of time?
One last question: I thought I might throw in a couple of microfiber bonnets in with my order. If anyone here has used them, I would like to know your opinion of them.

Many thanks!

If you're applying by PC, I usually use an LC Red pad... nice and soft and spreads the product well. I read a thread that the new Gold pad is the way to go... might be worth a try.

Yup.... waste of time. You'll know why once you apply the Wet Diamond!!!!:D Almost anything you put on it would potentially take away from the shine.

If you're going to put anything on as a topper, it should be BF Midnight Sun, BF Deep Gloss Spray, or Zaino Z8 Grand Finale Spray Seal

Keep in mind that we do not recommend using the same pad for polishing as you would for applying a sealant such as Wet Diamond. The reason is because you will never be able to fully remove the Wet Diamond from the pad which can lead to wierd results when polishing. IMO, it is best to use a seperate pad, which in this case would be the Gold Concours pad.

BFWD also is VERY easy to use by hand! I would not top Wet Diamond with NXT because NXT has very light cleaners in it that could remove some of the Wet Diamond coating, if not all of it.

I used a Gold pad at a slow speed (Flex) then used a Gold finger pocket for the tight/uncovered areas. I only use both for BFWD, nothing else.

BFWD, like most sealants I've used, doesn't wash out very well. Need to sqeeze/roll out as much as possible, soak up residue with a paper towel, wash as best you can.

I have experimented with various solvents - some do an OK job, others swell the foam! Oderless mineral spirits seemed the safest on the foam, did a pretty good job dissolving the sealant and washed out with pad cleaner. YMMV.

I love this place. I'm sure I'm not the only one who always gets more than expected.
gewb, just curious... how many pads did you go through before you found the right solvent? And what does YMMV mean? The only words I can come up that fit the acronym are You Make Me Vomit. Somehow, that does not seem right.

I use the gold pad and it works excellent and very little BF is used. I mean very little to do a whole car or SUV. I have red but never used it. The one issue I have it getting used product out of the pads. Squeezing them w/ my fingers drive me nuts after 5 mins or so.

Don't know why but I like applying my lsps by hand, especially WD. I use a dark green micro applicator from PAC and usually apply a small nickle size amount and can do the entire hood no problem. Compared to some of the other lsps and what not I think WD has to be one of the easiest to apply especially by hand.

If I find the link for the applicators I will update the info.
