Bet you haven't seen one of these before!

I was thinking the same thing, hard to believe foose didnt put a body kit or something to make that thing stand out from the 1,000 you see on a daily basis.

Nice work cleaning it up man, nice pics!!

No disrespect, but while the detailing work is great, the Mustang just looks like any other one on the road out there (maybe just gone through the whole ghetto fabulous process a la MTV's Pimp My Ride style, sans the insanity like a PS3 that will pop out of the trunk or something similarly crazy)?

Maybe it's just me, but cars that turn my head are the ones that aren't a dime a dozen, like say a Lamborghini. :nixweiss

You dont think it would do damage to the car if I did that?

Yeah, I wouldn't use contaminated clay on paint again (correction or not), but you may find yourself in a spot where you need to clay a grimy/trashed area where you don't want to waste any usable clay. Stubborn brake dust and plastic (unpainted) rocker panels/trim areas come to mind.

Good point. If you guys know anyone in San Diego looking for a good detail please don't hesitate to put my name out there tell them to PM me. I am really trying to save up so I can get an Si for my first car as some of you may know I'm currently 15. Thanks guys!

The stripes are painted on and yes there is some orange peel on them. I don't quite know how to get it out.

Orange Peel can only be removed by completely releveling the paint to the lowest part of the ripple by wetsanding.

Basically OP is like a wave and the top part of that wave is easiest to remove but one must reach to the bottom part of that ripple to fully remove the OP completely.

The only risk involved is factory paint is typically very thin on the clear so you risk premature clear coat failure or even going threw the clear and into the paint. Custom paint can be even more risky as you do not know the amount of clear applied. If you have a PTG this of course will help in knowing how much clear you have to play with.

The only thing I like about those cars is the front end. That's all that is different than most S197s on the road.

I love the car! Nice job, DK. Didn't you post this car previously? Do I see an attempt to sand out the scratched leather on the driver's seat? How did that work out?

Tell Mom that using an ankle holster will save the upholstery. LOL

Thanks for posting.

Yeah, I posted it to see on some advice on what I wolud be able to use for the car. No, I didn't sand it out, I just cleaned and conditioned the leather

Yeah. I could tell her but she is kinda hard headded. Haha
