Best way to remove Collinte 945?

Folks,

I need to know the best way to remove Collinte's Insulator Wax #845. The guy who just painted my motorcycle put it on. I want to remove it, as wax isn't good for a new paint job. IsoP Alcohol (harsh?) and PS21 Total Auto Wash (not quite as harsh) have been recommended but the key here is to find something that will remove the (durable) Collinite Wax, yet be gentle enough to my 4 day old paint job.

Thanks,

JFR,

I just called my buddy who paints bikes and he said the P21S Total Auto Wash should be fine. He said make sure you rinse good when you are finished.

I don't think alcochol will remove 845

I questioned the validity of this statement so I experimented with 845/alcohol a bit. It appears that the alcohol has little to no effect on the 845 (at least in my kitchen experiments), so it appears that statement is very true! I haven't used my Collinite in several years, maybe it's time to give it another try!

Isopropyl alcohol will remove Collinite.

How did you test for removal on your kitchen items? Beading?

If so, not a valid indicator of presence or absence of a protectant.
