Best Wax?

This is why I asked for more information. While there is no such thing as the best wax there is definitely such a thing as the best wax for you. There are so many different waxes on the market that chances are there is one that will meet most of a person's needs. Clearly there are trade offs with each one, but not everyone is looking for the same thing so that's OK.

You will have to experiment with some of the proven waxes and find the "best wax" that will work for you. "Best" is a very subjective word, because you may find that someone else's definition of the "best" wax will not necessarily meet or exceed your expectations of an optimal wax.



But since you've asked, for my cars what I consider to have been the best I've seen so far are the following: For my daily driver I use P21S on top of a well prepped surface. It is very easy to apply, it buffs off easy and it can build itself up to a very deep and sharp edged reflection.



For car #1, I have yet to see a wax or synthetic LSP (except of course for the higher ranking Zymols) that could duplicate the three dimensional properties that a Zymol Estate Wax has been able to produce on the skin of Car #1.



It is best to do the research and trial and error exercises in order to find the "best" wax for you and your car.

What is best for me is irrelevant. If I liked modern atonal opera, would you consider it as dinner music?

After reading this board for many months, here's what I picked up:



Waxes:

Pinnacle Souveran Paste Wax - the best on black/red

S100 Paste Wax - as good as p21s for half the cost

Poorboy’s Natty Blue Paste Wax - wet, wet, wet

Collinite 845 Liquid Insulator Wax - long lasting, great for winter

Optimum Car Wax spray - easy to apply after every wash



sealants

Klasse Sealant Glaze - gotta put it on thin, may streak on black, but lasts a long time, great for wheels

Meguiar's NXT Tech Paste - looks good, $14 at Walmart, easy to use

Four Star Ultimate Paint Protection - slick surface, really slimey feeling, easy to use, no streaks

Poorboy’s EX-P Sealant - can use in sun, looks great, low cost, easy to use



I also want to pick up the Menzerna FMJ sealant at some point in the future. Not that I really need any more products,

but sheeeet, this is an obsession for me now...
 
In carnauba my Top Three are:



1. Pinnacle Souveran

2. Natty's Blue

3. P21S



Can't go wrong with any of them. I like Zaino Z-2 Pro for a sealant.
