Best Wax To Use On Dark Colors

I use a orbitor not a PC or a Buffer. It's much bigger and I use that to apply the wax. I can't find a picture of one at this time.

Not understanding what this orbitor is sounds like you would require a liquid wax to apply.....for me the best wax for any color is a paste wax applied by hand...but thats just me!

Beemer, an orbitor is like a polisher with no correction ability. Craftsman sell one that can be picked up at sears..

I know what that is and if you ask me I would then go with a paste wax by hand.

I agree, this is how i prefer do apply my waxs and sealants. although i do like the cordless polisher that megs has on their site to apply sealants/wax.

Same here, I always apply the lsp by hand. I even enjoy doing it that way. I don't know if its because I know I'm about done with the job or if its just the pleasure of putting it on a perfect finish.

Glen brings up a very good point. It's more in the polishing steps and surface prep than it is just using "the best wax for dark colors." With that being said, and from reading your post, I would suggest something high in fillers, as it doesn't look like you were planning on any type of polishing. Maybe a glaze followed by a wax would suit your needs.

I don't think anyone answered the question...What is the best wax to use on dark colors..I don't think he was asking if paste or liquid was best...I think he was asking what brand is best for dark colors....Maybe I misunderstood his post....

What type of wax to I use on dark colored cars?

I personally use Natty's Blue Paste on customers' cars.
On my truck, I use Pinnacle Souveran Paste.

Your right on one note but he asked what is the best wax on a dark color but then said he was applying this with a orbitor of which a liquid wax would be the only option....I guess to answer the question a paste wax to me is the best...Adams Butter wax would be a good selection for a liquid wax

That's exactly what I was asking. Sorry if I confused some of you.

You can do a search for Adams on the net I don't think that they are a sponsor here any longer....you might check out autogeek as well.....another liquid wax/polish that I personally love and use on my own cars all the time is Poorboys World Polish with carnauba and that's available in threw this site and the sponsors...its what called a one step process AIO (all in one)

I personally like PB's Natty's Blue for both price and protection. The shine is great too. I also like Souveran, but I'm not too willing to pay that much money for it.

I also use Natty's blue on top of EX that combo looks best on dark color cars you can't go wrong with PB products ...
