best wax for white?

Hello,



I just received my shipment of Pinnacle products which I bought at a discounted price because they were on sale. Since I bought a lot of them, my main concern deals with how long of a shelf life do they have? In particular, I am concerned about the fact that they contain natural ingredients which might go bad faster. Thanks.
 
I have Pinnacle Souveran and Paste Glaz that is almost two years old. No difference from new. Pinnacle Paint Cleansing lotion is also fine after a year. I don't forsee any long term issues.

You may want to check out this thread -- it has some information that suggests a <span class='bbc_underline'>possibility of PPCL having a shelf life of less than 2 years. It's up to you to draw conclusions from this though, we don't know what the exact problem is.

I wouldn't worry about a shelf life of 2 years for Pinnacle Paintwork Cleansing Lotion. My brother and I have some that is a year and a half old now. No problems. Laters
 
Good to hear Don! I feel better now knowing that my large order of Pinnacle products will last me a long time...they're the absolute best in car care!
 
i have always had dark cars .....black , blue and dark gray melt.

i just picked up a white c230 k and would like to know what give me the best WET look?

I also like Collinite 845. However, there are so many other choices that look great as well. Just to name a few, Pinnicle Sig. Series II, P21S, Natty's. You can also use sealants that will look great. Optimum Opti-Seal, looks great on white. And then there is always BFWD, which looks great on everything.

:iagree:but nothing protects like Collinite.
 
i clayed the car today (getting it ready for wax)
i found that the car has some overspray. you can feel it and the clay did NOT remove it.....:toetap05:

ideas??

Try rubbing harder with the clay. Use water as lube. If this doesn't work get a more aggresive clay and use APC 10:1 as lube. Cut the clay into 4 pieces as the APC will eat it up fast :blacksmith:

Clay Magic Red. But I must warn you, this stuff will marr up your paint like crazy. If your car doesn't currentally need a correction, it will when your done claying with red :o

Definitely try using the clay you have now again before going with a more aggresive method/clay. Get a squirt bottle of water and use it as lube. Work in a small area and apply medium to heavy pressure and see what gives :judge:

Keep us posted how this all turns out :driving:
 
Keep in mind that using an aggressive clay is going to scratch (swirl mark like scratches) the paint surface, so make sure you are comfortable polishing out the swirl marks before hand.

If you don't have a polisher then you are going to be limited to using a fine clay which can take a VERY LONG time to make progress. I would pick up something like our Blackfire Clay Bar Cleaner and Lubricant and cleanse the clay bar FREQUENTLY!!! Why? Because as you remove overspray the clay bar is going to become contaminated and begin to scratch the paint as well.

It really is a Catch 22 :(
