Best Wax for painted wheels

I have heard that Klasse is the best for painted wheels. True? It's an '97 Camaro 35th Anniv. with white painted wheels. Looking for the best and easiest way to keep 'em clean.

I like Mother's cleaner wax for painted/clearcoated wheels. I don't use it on the car, but it does a good job on wheels. It gives them a mild cleaning, leaves a good shine and lasts pretty long for a wax. While I don't use Klasse, I would think AIO would also work well. For daily cleaning, I use P21S GEL; it's safe, it cleans well and it's easy on the wax. Sometimes I keep old, nearly used up containers of my car wax (P21S for ex.) for wheels, lower body panels, etc. - of course, these waxes have no cleaning properties. Also, I QD the wheels often; does the same for them as for the car.

Look into Polymer sealants for wheels as they tend to get hot and carnuabas would not last long.

Klasse is a good choice. Or what ever polymer you are using on your paint.......

HTH

wax and silicones do not mix with heat well...they will look good on application but as you drive and brake the wheels get hot and there will be a haze that will develop. Have also found that the wax as it get warm will suck up brake dust and bake it into the clearcoat...not sure about the polymer.

I use Zaino on my Camaro SS wheels, works great! I had painted ones before my chrome and it worked great on them too ;)

Good to see another Camaro on the forum, let alone a 97 :xyxthumbs

Meguiar's #20 works great. Long lasting, easy to apply, and has some cleaners in it.

Yup thats what I use Meguiar's #20. Cleans and protects and holds up good under that heat. I use a quick detailer in between the waxes. :xyxthumbs

Ah Camaro owners comming to my rescue. I think I'll probably go with the Zaino. Thanks for the input gang!

Klasse AIO works really well. Besides protecting, it also cleans.

All you orphans will really need to support each other now that Big Momma has abandoned you.

I still find it hard to believe that even GM would do something like that.

Please do not feel sorry for us. We were lucky enough to enjoy the last of the "real" muscle car phenomena ( big displacement/ push rods, big hp and torque). Crude yes. Fun and dangeously fast without selling the farm. YES . :D

Besides all I hear is bling,bling ( 67,69, and 95 Z28's):xyxthumbs :wavey

Ain't that the truth!!!! LT, 5.7 litre engine, 6 speed it just don't get no better than that!!!

Mothers reflections is a commonly available, super-easy to apply synthetic that should be great for wheels.. Cheap, and it does not stain rubber.. I like to pretend it is a klasse substitute..

I haven't tried it on my wheels yet I must admit- I'm still working on a big ol bottle of nu-finish- which also works swell- but dont get nu finish on rubber...
