What are yalls' recommendations? My car will be sitting outside in the hot Southern California sun for the rest of the sumer so I want to protect it as good as possible.

The best protection wax I've used is Collinite #845. Very strong durability and it def. does not lack any points in the looks department.

Last thing I read said wax and sealants dont have UV protectants in them. Its a myth that companies use to sell?

I am sure all or most contain some kind of UV protection. I'm sure they don't sell waxes/sealants just to get a better look. If not, then we'd be seeing aging/oxidation and such even after applying a wax or sealant.

Atleast the ones I've used.

ive used the klasse twins on our truck which has been sitting in the FL sun. i applied it about 2-3 weeks ago and it still looks and beads nicely

Anything that adds an additional layer to your paint will provide some UV protection. Though some makers claim to add UV protection, the effectiveness of this has not been proven. Use a good wax or sealant regularly and your paint will last for a very long time. You'll be wanting a repaint because of scratches and rock chips before your paint fades.

Carnauba waxes do not contain natural UV protection... if a company claims that- they are lying.

OCW and OS do have UV absorbers though. I'm still a little confused on the whole UV protection / absorbers but this is the information that Anthony O has said...
