best tire dressing?

psl, I wrote to Selleys and mailed the letter on the weekend. It will be interesting to see their response. I did mention there was someone in the US who was a potential distributor to see if I could raise their interest.

I got hold of some Mother's Duration, up 'til now I've been happy with Poorboy's BNB, so we'll see what MD comes up like and how long it lasts.

I prefer Autoglym Vinyl and rubber or tyre dressing for looks.

Meguiars endurance as a compromise of looks durability.

Autoglym Rubber Plus for ultimate durability.

Duration seems to be somewhat different to the other dressings I've used in that it feels like a silicone water-based sealant.

Spread a drop on your hand, let it dry, and see what I mean. It really seals the surface with a glossy layer. I guess thats why it lasts so long, and why its so expensive to manufacture...and why its been discontinued. :furious:

The Optimum Tire derssing is really great stuff. It looks like a solvant based dressing when you spray it on but it is not. There is no problem with tire sling. Gloss can be high if you spray and let sit or you can have med. gloss with the sponge applied method. The Optimum will last close to two weeks. Cost around 20.00 a gal.

The Mother's Duration has dried to a really nice black shine today, not too glossy (I hate the Endurance look), just right for me. We'll see how long it lasts, should easily outlast BNB as that only seems to last a week or so.

Duration seems readily available in the UK, but I might grab a few in case it does become difficult to obtain. Maybe it's like Megs #16 wax - discontinued in the USA but not here.
