best tire dressing?

a good tire dressing should not dilute in water

I would imagine most - if not all - water based dressings would "dilute" in water, and from what little I have read water based dressings are better for you to use - i.e. better for the tire, less sling, more environmentally friendly, etc.

true.... but it just doesnt last as long as a good gel.....
and clear liquid spray bottle tire shine products are junk they dont penatrate and coat evenly on the tire and they sling off

I like Poorboys B&B or Dupont Teflon tire shine which I cant seem to find at autozone anymore. I need to check advanced auto I guess...

I like meg high endurance. I like the glossy look on my tires. Plus you don't get the dreaded tire sling. I tried Armoral's extreme tire gel and will never use it again I had black dots all over my silver paint. Luckily I keep some cleaning products in my car so when I got off from work I cleaned it up in the parking and removed the tire dressing. I gave it to my younger brother he's like Mikey, " He'll use anything!" (LOL)
That's weird, Armor All Extreme is pretty much all I use now, and I still have Poorboys Bold and Bright, Meg's Endurance High Gloss, Mothers FX etc. I use it on 5 our vehicle inlcuding 3 suv's with no slinging  , it applys really thin and easily, not thick like My Megs Endrance which was a pain on some tires, turned the white lettering of my a/t tires purplish and I had to scrub like crazy to get them back to white again. I sue Armor All Foam to Clean and it leeaves a nice base for a gel, I go about 2-3 weeks with Extreme Gel, including rain, though obviously after rain it doesn't have the intial gloss but neither did Megs Endurance.

I will say this, worst product, Megs Insane Shine Aersol Spray, whata gooey mess. Doesn't really dry so a few days later your tires are caked with dirt. Not to mention the Aerosol spray sprays everywhere.

I don't think there is a "BEST" in any area of car care products. I have talked to thousands of people over 20+ years of doing car shows and everyone has a differerent perspective. Some like shiny, some like matte, some want a deep black look on tires , and others want it dripping wet. Some want water-base other want a silicone oil base. The same goes for wax, sealants, & interior dressings too. Use whatever gives you the appearance you like and is cost effective for YOU !!

Boy you really nailed it. I could not agree more.
I see cars at shows with the tires just dripping wet and I"m sure the owner really likes the look and I think it looks like $hit but we all have our own idea of what we want and it is why the wax sealant debate will go on forever.

DIFFERENT STROKES FOR DIFFERENT FOLKS

Anybody ever try 303, then Eagle One? I heard that combo somewhere and gave it a shot, nice results.

My two favs are, Einszett tire foam, and FK#108.They give a 'natural' look, not the high shine/wet look, that i do not care for.

Never tried that combination, but I really liked the look of 303 by itself. It didn't sem to last all that long, though.

I couldn't agree more with this, whats best? the one you like the most.

Has anyone tried Black Magic's gel??? Very impressive and lasting wet look for an otc gel IMO. It has beat most of my tire sprays so far, even my PB Bold and Brite in terms of gloss (if you really like the wet look.....its not for everyone).

I would say, as a second place to this newcomer would be Eagle 1 tire shine. That is a truly great tire shine product otc. I was really impressed with it b4 I discovered the Black Magic Gel.
