Best Spray Sealant or Carnauba?

z8? i didn't think that had any protective qualities...it's just a super QD for those "special occasions".

???

Nope it's a spray sealant- if you add 1 drop of ZFX per 1 ounce of Z8 and use a small bottle it's even more durable.

Optimum Car Wax and Werkstatt's Acrylic Jett Trigger.

Ultimate carnauba spray though is a 50/50 mix of OCW and Werkstatt's Carnauba Jett.

This is a very interesting concoction. How abt OCW/AJ combo?

Sealant: UPPSpray (better durability than AquaWax IMO)

Really? How long does the UPPS last for you? I was easily headed toward 2 months on AW before I tried the 105 TPP on top.

UPPS did not last for me...It was gone after 2 washes...plus rain...it did look fine when applied but after 2 weeks it was going...slickness and gloss faded off..

Like Tiger said..AW has lasted me 2 months easy..still glossy and slick..not to push the product but so far it has lasted better than most spray sealants I tried...

I just used my OCW for the 1st time on my dads durango.

easy to use, like a QD product.

left a nice shine.

I don't get the durability of AW that everyone else seems to get. For me it only seems to last about 2-3 weeks. UPPS lasts about 6 weeks for me.

OCW

I like AW, but for me it is missing something, still looks good for the $$..

It shines great, but is not very deep. It works great on light colors or perfect dark colors. For me I use it as a topper. Last time I used it over Megs #21, "outstanding". Its the iceing on the cake.

When I first got the Rondy, I washed well and put on a coat of NuFinish liquid. Then the [new car] fever got me into more serious detailing, so I washed, clayed and used a pc 7424 to apply a coat of Meguiars NXT Tech wax liquid (ploymer). I've been following that up with Meguiars NXT Tech spray [maint] every few weeks. The surface still looks 'n feels like glass and I get good depth and reflection for a frost white vehicle. The NXT spray isn't a WOWO though, more spray, wipe, dry to haze, wipe off. (unlike DG AW for example that, wet or dry, you just spray on/wipe off.)

This is always a tough call though....do you stick with something you've used and seems to work...or do you experiment around. I'm thinking of continuing the Megs NXT through the winter to see how it holds up, even though I'm very lured by Klasse, Zaino, Duragloss....

Like many I think, I'm looking for the holy grail of polymer finish products - the armor coating with blinding shine that lasts and lasts.

Z8 for me.

It offers excellent slickness, and really boosts the gloss/depth on your paint.

The protection is on par for sprays (based on my uses). I use it most often after washing my cars.

It definitely rejuvenates that 'just detailed' look and feel in between full out details. A little goes a loooonnngggg way. I use around 1oz on our Tahoe, and less on my car (paint, glass, wheels, lenses). If you use to much, you'll pick up some streaking. Less is more with this product.

I haven't tried Z8 enough times on non-zaino sealers to form an opinion. I've tried it with the new BF sealer a few times, and it seemed to work well.

If you are using Z5Pro or Z2Pro, then Z8 is a 'must have' in my book.

I've also had good luck with OCW, but have not picked it up since I started using Zaino.

Abbeysdad...being from New England myself..I can tell you...that NXT will not last the winters here....it does look nice..you can call it the summer coat..good for summer time..but winter will eat it up...

for winter last year I used Klasse twins and collinite wax..lasted all winter no problems...still beaded in early june...my Girlfriends car had Duragloss for the winter and it held up nice...using Aquawax after a wand wash...

This year I am trying Duragloss for the winter coat and may even top that with collinite come NOV.....if it works then I have a winner..if not back to Klasse twins or maybe try the Zaino...salt is horrible here...need protection...

but if you want protection for the winter..go klasse ..zaino..or Duragloss...or Jeff's

But the Aquawax has proven to me to be very durable..more so than some of the high priced boutique product...

it all depends on location..temps and conditions for saying what is durable and what lasts...just like caranuba does not last long in the southern states..but will last up north in the winter..the cold keeps it from disapating...4* lasts good with areas of little rain..but rainy areas it does not last....and so on....
