i like to take my time in washing and drying my car so i dont scratch the paint but even when im working in the shade, i still get water spots by the time im finished. now aio takes them out easily but then it also takes my souveran off too. ive tryed qd's like zaino and poorboys s&w but some of them just dont want to come off. which would be a good qd that will take them off w/o taking wax off? now there are some that are baked on pretty good and even aio wont take them out with a pc. any other way to get them out?

I think you need to work a little faster.

Otherwise, rinse the whole car a couple times while you're washing to keep the water from drying on the paint.

I hate sounding like an advertisement but you might give NXT car wash a try. It sheets well and has additives to eliminate spotting ( at least that's the product's claim ).

i use nxt wash :) ill just try to move faster. what about those ones that are deep into the paint and wont even come out with aio?

I usually use the pb ssr line. I step up in agressiveness if the spots wont come out. Some waterspots that I encounter is usually removed by a mix of distilled vinegar and water :D

As White95Max says, rinse the whole car a few times during the wash. I tend to wash from the top of the car to the shoulder line (i.e. the bottom of the windows), then rinse the whole car. Then the shoulder to the waist line and rinse the whole car Then everything else and rinse the whole car again. Never had a water spot problem with this method but then again we don't get the heat here in the UK that you guys get!

Polymer or silicone oil will â€Ëœinhibitâ€â„¢ water-spots due to their water rejecting properties, but there is no product available that will resist alkaline water or acid rain.

How is â€Ëœmarvilleâ€â„¢ TN we did some projects for Nippondenso in Maryville a few years ago.

Quote: NO. 505 WATER SPOT REMOVER

Removes water spots from painted and clear coat surfaces by dissolving the organic and inorganic residue (water spot) without removing durable polishes.

Wax is organic, polish and synthetic waxes contain both inorganic and organic substances, polymers are inorganic. Rhetorical question: How then does this product selectively remove water spots without removing polish?
