best products for white?

isn't the procedure of proper wash, clay, polish, wax, buff, ..... and doing those steps correctly with the right pads and such, more important than the brand of products you choose, cause I see that as long as you buy proffessional products- stay away from the cheap over the counter crap you'll get great results.

Yeah, process is the #1 ingredient. However, just because something is cheap & you can get it locally doesn't mean it's crap. I have some stuff I use pretty regularly that's half the price of the stuff I buy online and it works just as well, if not better, than the more expensive stuff. Price and availability alone are not an indication of poor product. On the flip side, I have paid some high prices for products that I was completely unhappy with after using them.

I should specify what I mean ( I HATE MEGUIRES PRODUCTS)

What don't you like about Meguiar's products?

I agree that the consumer-line stuff they sell isn't all that great, but their professional products are great for a value consious consumer or business person who wants consistency of results and overall high quality.

of the polishes that I have tried (one was priced pretty high, so I figured it was close to there top of the line ), it actually induced swirls , that I need to remove with another polish. also there vinyl detailing spray is SLIMEY.

OK, well, two things:

1) Price does not equal quality. And in Meguiar's (as with most) polishes, the more aggressive products (which incidentally do cost more than the less aggressive ones, but it has nothing to do with quality) will leave some tracers behind. This is why polishing is a multi-step process. You can't just expect to slap on some harsh polish once and everything will come out perfect. You have to follow aggressive polishes with less aggressive ones.

2) I don't know which vinyl dressing you were using, but by nature they do sometimes need to be diluted, or have excess residue wiped off. Again though, that's fairly true for any dressing product.
