Best Products and Detailing Steps

Hello,

I am looking for the best products, and the right steps to produce great looking vehicles. I have just a few questions to.

1. How do you keep the compounds from getting under moldings and in door jambs.

2. Tire dressing- Which one provides a great flat black look without collecting dust.

Anyhelp would be greatly appreicated.

#1 is *relatively* easy...masking tape... spend the extra for good stuff, you don't want to have to clean adhesive from the paint, or worse have the tape pull paint off with it

As for #2...I use 303, it's relatively low-gloss & seems better than average at keeping dust away. Another option is to just make sure the tires are CLEAN...until I found the 303, I didn't use ANY protectant on the tires, I just gave them each 2-3 scrubbings with Simple Green & a stiff brush at every wash
