Nothing fancy just lookin for something nice to dress the engine with after cleaning. I heard someone take armour all tire foam and just spray the whole engine down with it. What do you guys recommend? Something cheap and i can get realitivily close in any retail chain :xyxthumbs

I have tried the CD2 kit and ack, will never do that again. In hotter temps it will just plain melt making a huge sticky mess over the entire motor. I had used it just before it started getting warm here and about a week into summer with temps in the high 90s my engine looked like it was covered in a layer of grease. Unfortunately the only product I have ever been happy with has been discontinued (Meguiars Engine Kote).

I really like Gunk Citrus Oil Engine Detailer.

It can work two ways. If the engine is dirty, soak it with spray and hose off.

If you just want to shine things up, you put on a light spray, leave it for 15 min then drive or run the engine for 10 min. Leaves everything with a nice gloss that lasts a while. And a big plus, leaves a great orange grove smell.

Only 2.50 a can in most auto stores.

If I can get one later, Ill throw a pic up.

Well, if I want to spend some time detailing the engine I will use Poorboy's Natural Look on all of the plastic and rubber. I have even heard the Bold N Bright works great for this. If I just want a quicky job I use CD2 Engine detailer.
