Best product for micro-marring, swirls, etc..?

Hey Ryan that is something I am confused about. How is it that a less aggressive polish and pad would take out this marring when it makes sense to go the aggressive route(ssr2.5 + cutting pad.)

Well in my experience, a somewhat aggressive combination like SSR2.5 + a cutting pad can actually leave behind a little marring like you are experiencing. It will clean up the major swirls but then you are left with some fine micro scratches that need to be polished out with a less aggressive polish and pad. You always start with the least aggressive combo first, then move up to a more aggressive combo. Then you always go back down the hill with a less aggressive combo to level out what the stronger combo left behind.

Like I said on the other site, I think if you hit it with SSR2.5 and a cutting pad one more time, then went over it a couple times with the SSR1 and polishing pad you would be good to go.

Oh, and honestly, your situation is not bad at all. Many people I know would leave the finish as it is in your case, then go to a wax or sealant. You are a true detailer though, because you want perfection like the rest of us!

If you just clean it up with FP and polishing pad, it will also bring out a little more gloss to the paint while getting rid of your marring.
