I am going to try PINNACLE SOUVERAN CAR WAX instead of Zaino on my bike siince it is black. I was looking for best practice. Starting from Dawn prep and Claying!

thanks

I also wanted to layer it after applying. Is this really neccesary? Does it really make a differnance? Does it make it last longer?

Pros and cons?

Thanks

Dude... Double post.

Just go into your first one, hit edit and add you second question. There is no need to make two posts.

(I merged the two threads. - Tort -)

I believe you will an improvment if you layer carnuaba. Its best to wait at least 24 hrs between coats. I will be applying 2x's of Pinnacle Souveran over Megs #81 as part of prep for an upcoming show. I will let you know how it comes out.

Just apply it like any other wax. Wipe it on and then buff it off. Souveran isn't special in its application process. The rest of the process you already know. Wash, Clay, Polish, Seal, Wax. That's about it. If you want step by step process instructions then get the eBook or look in the articles. Its all there. :xyxthumbs

Im hoping that the polish will really clean up those swirl marks.. Damn black paint :)

I don't know much about Souveran .. but I do know about swirl marks on black.. You should take steps to remove them before you lay coat after coat of a wax thats just going to hi-lite them.

A black bike is no different than a black evening dress .. if ya don't have a good foundation... its gonna look like crap. Use a good polish to remove the swirls before you wax. Yes there is a difference between polishing and waxing

Just out of curiosity... what would be a good foundation for a black evening dress?:lol

If you are going to try Souveran, 8 oz for $59.95, you should check out Pinnacle Cycle Glaze 6oz for $24.95. I like the wax better then Souveran and it's more then half the $.:up

I have a red vehicle where I've got 8 layers of Souveran on now over Klasse. I've noticed that very coat of S keeps making the shine deeper and deeper. Take the time to polish out all the swirl marks first and if you can get it/have some, do 2 layers of Klasse and at least 3 of the Klasse glaze before the S. Just remember THIN IS BETTER, Klasse and the S. You won't be disappointed:D
