which Polymers and Acrylics Last the Longest and Produce the Best Shine

Klasse AIO + SG

Platnium UPP

Meguiars #20

Blackfire

Zaino

I cant think of anymore.

as long as your prep work is done I don't think you can go wrong with any of those products. With most people they are subjective anyways. You might want to add Poorboy's EX on there also.

ahh yes poorboys how is meguiars Polymer sealent ? Would 2-3 Coats be good enough to last all winter from all the salts and crap ? Do polymers Bead Well ?

You can do a search for these products and it will answer your questions. It has been discussed at length.

I did a search and didnt find anything on if the products bead well or will last through winter road salts and other things. stop being lazy and pointing people to search. ;)

I don't know about the others but zaino beads very well. I would assume that they all bead well or they all wouldn't have supporters on this board.

Then you didn't search well enough chief.

Zaino: 4,376 threads

BlackFire: 1,293 threads

Platinum UPP: 139 threads

Meguiars #20: 295 threads

Klasse 4,016 threads

Poorboys EX 280 threads

------------------

Total 10,399 threads.

So, over 10,000 threads on the products you mentioned and none of them mention product performance or durability? Yeah, OK.

heh dont get mad showroom. I went through alot of the threads but none of them specifically mention Beading of meguiars polymer sealent mostly just application methods and stuff of that sort. I will look again.

Over... and over... and over... and over...

Pick a Z ... it's reeeeaaalllly nice:D :xyxthumbs

I like Final Polish. Very easy to use, it isn't finicky about what you apply it over and on some of my customer's cars, it has now beaded about 4 months (topped with S100).

wow thats not bad. I need something for the winter with all of that road salt and crap on the road. I need protection stronger then a Carnuba.

Fr0zen, I wouldn't recommend #20 for an all-winter protection...I just wasn't that impressed with it's durability. Heck, some good Carnaubas last longer than #20. I like Blackfire and Z, but if you are looking for a product for your wheels only, I would go with AIO and a couple layers of SG. That's all I use on mine now, and I really like the look they give. I do a full "wheel detail" with AOI+SG just before the Michigan winter hits and I feel safe driving them around...usually every week I try to wash them with soap and water or spray them off at the car wash, just to rinse off all the grime.

Ok thanks I decided on Klasse AIO+SG. I have AIO already and I find that 2 coats of it will bead for a good 3 weeks I can imageing 5 coats of SG. I also take it to the pull up car washs where I just rinse the grim off.

When I lived in Michigan, I found that Zaino got me through the winters really well. Didn't have the time/space/desire to freeze my a** off to wash much either. I'm sure Klasse will work fine for ya though.

Yup.

Generically polymers are considered to last 3-6 months, even in winter. Coventional wisdom has historically been that Zaino is the longest lasting, but I see that Poorboy's EX may be the new leader.

I live in upstate New York in the Catskill Mountains. Snow, slush, salt, calcium, plain old dirt; not washed all winter except for wand rinsing at car washes; temperature very seldom gets above 32 degrees, etc. etc.

I put 5 coats of Zaino on the week before Thanksgiving, which was the last time I saw temperatures in the 40's, and it was still holding up pretty well the third week in April when I got to my first Spring detailing.:) That was five months!:bounce

I use AIO & SG on one of my cars and it defintely lasts a long time, has a wonderful shine, cleans up easily, does not attract dust, protects very well............but there is very little beading compared to most other products I have used. Water sheets off of it more than it beads. Personally I could care less if it beads as long as it is doing the other things I listed.
