Best polish to use before Zaino?

OK, as a recent Zaino convert, I have been doing a ISO wipe down or using ONR at quick detail strength before applying Zaino. So far, I'm very pleased with the results and after doing my boss's trruck, I've picked up 4 more details from people that saw that truck. I have switched to applying by PC and a blue pad, just got a new red 5.5" LC that will be the "Z" only pad.

That's acceptable Bryan. It's just misleading to lead someone to think that water is a useful polishing lube. Adding water to polish that is drying usually just makes a mess. Some kind of oil is needed for success.

Thanks. That's what I thought because I've been going straight to Z-AIO after polishing.

I've read post where people have gotten smearing when using ZAIO over a oily polish. I'd always do a IPA wipedown first.

Water is NOT a polishing lube. It dries out way too quick leaving you with product stuck to the surface. You know what doesn't evaporate when you boil something??

I've never had any streaking issues applying Z-AIO via PC on any car. I've done my TL (gray), my sisters Accord (Brown), and my friends S2000 (black) all done with Z-AIO and the PC.

Usually, after I polish I do a quick wash with Z-7 to get rid off all the dust from the polish and then apply Z-AIO.

So ZAIO is a paint cleaner that wont clean paint? I doubt that it was used properly and thus the streaking results after the oily polish.
