:D I've wanted a PC for awhile now, but after that Zaino thread, I can't wait anymore!

Where can I get one for the best price?

If you can, please include cost and/or model #...

Thanks!

I'm in Manhatton (from the UK) in a week or so on business, are there any Autopians who know a place in Manhatton I could get a PC from

You could try giving a call to Colonial Hardware their link is below. They are in lower Manhattan on Varick St between Charlton St and Vandam St. You will probably pay more for it in the city. Or you could take a ride to Lowes in North Bergen they are about 5 miles from midtown Manhattan. They have the 7336 for $109.

Richard, I just tried to do a search and the nearest Lowe's that comes up from mid-town Manhattan is in Bergen, NJ. I don't recall how far away that may be from mid-town, but you probably could take the train out of the city and then get a taxi to that location.

The other suggestion is to order it with a credit card and have Lowe's ship it to your hotel. You could do this maybe a week ahead of when you arrive. Just make sure that you fax the hotel ahead of time to expect a package for you.

You would also probably want the pad kit from CMA (which includes the velcro backing plate). CMA could ship that to the hotel also.

I hope that this helps. You may also want to PM NYDetailer and/or Jason, as they are in the area and might be able to offer some more assistance.

The coastaltool deal is the best..you get the basic polisher with the 6" oe white foam pad. It comes with the 5" counterweight...BUT, what sets this deal apart, and perfect for car guys, is that contains a bonus pack of the heavy duty backing plate, and the 6" counterweight....All for $119. Normally, you need to buy the 6" weight and heavy duty backing plate separately. With coastal, its a bundle under 7424 (i think) model number as a special. Then all you need to do is to pick up a polishing pad and a finishing pad....Alot of guys here like the CMA pads..

But, I really like the meguiars pads better...They use a different color scheme....Yellow is the polishing pad, and kind of a pinky/salmon is the finishing pad.....What I like best is that you can buy these in either a 6.5" size, or an 8" size, and the 8" size feels perfect on the polisher, and gets it done a bit faster.
