Hi All,

*looks around*

I haven't visited the board in a while, and wow I like what they did with the place!

Anyhoo, my car is in need of a tune up, and from what I've heard, the best stuff to clean the fuel injector/engine deposits is the stuff BG makes called 44K Advanced Formula. Ever hear of it?

I was just wondering if there's an online store (besides the commercial store fronts - i.e. Pep Boys - they do not carry this stuff) that specializes in selling these type of products, or, where I can find this product in the Los Angeles area.

I've found a couple of online stores that sell this product, but they got bad customer service reviews from my peers.

Thanks in advance!

PS - sorry if this is the wrong forum to post this topic :nixweiss

Haven`t used BG44 but have had success with a couple of other product to clean the injectors. Sea Foam and also Red Line. Have found these at most Auto Parts Dealers.

I'd agree about Seafoam and Redline products. You also might want to check with your local lube goon shop and see if they do the upper end cleaning. I think I paid about $45 for them to completely clean out the throttle body and then run the cleaner through a vacuum line to clean the valves and combustion chambers. It is the first time I've had that done (the engine has about 150,000 miles on it) and it must really have needed it, because my car runs noticably stronger.

I've seen 44K sold at the parts counters of various dealerships. One local Honda dealer sells a BG kit that comes with 3 products incl 44K. Ya might want to call some dealers and ask if they sell it OTC to consumers.

I've had great luck with 44K as a pour-in FI cleaner but if you need a real cleaning, I agree with Scottwax that you should get it done professionally. It really does make a diff.

BG 44 is available at my Honda Dealer. Might want try and locate one where you live.

I have used it for the last 9 years in my 94 Del Sol and it seems to work fine.

Hey guys....thanks a lot for all the help...I appreciate it!

I think I'll try calling some local dealerships around my area to see what they have. As for the professional cleaning, do you think that it is necessary for a car with 30K miles, or just for higher mileage cars?
