Best pad for BFWD?

I think we should just let that post stay burried. Nobody has replied to it and its been a month. He is obviously not taken seriously there either. Besides, how the hell would he know what the right way is to detail a car? After all, he is the one that is looking for help in learning the right way. I don't think that someone that doesn't know what they are doing is entitled to an opinion of whether an expert in the field is right or wrong. I wish that kid would just dissapear already. Sheesh! What am I going to have to do? Put a contract out on him or something? :D

I have browsed that forum in the past...its geared toward professional detailers and only gets a few posts a day.......if any.

Whats the best pad for spreading BFWD? i only spread it with my PC and i have used the blue pad but it seems to SOAK alot of BFWD. Im looking at the 5.5 Gold pad. Will this work better?

It will do the same, but the Gold pad is the softest one. I like using the Red Flat Pad in a 5.5" size.

I also use a red LC pad. I have never had a problem with it marring a finish, even on a soft, black paint. I have one pad dedicated to BFWD. The first use did absorb a bit of product, but after that it seemed to absorb less.

i guess i will give the red a shot!

I use the blue LC pads. They soak up some of the BFWD but after half the car you don't need to apply any more to the pad. With the DA turned off just push the pad onto the paint to squeeze out some excess onto the panel then turn the DA back on and spread.
