best OTC QD - suggestions please!

Megs has a new QD to be released May 14th. Ultimate Quick Detail is shown on their website. Looks promising.

Any local paint shop that carries McGuire's will be able to order the Meg's #34 for you, they deal through a McGuire's Distributer, it will/should be equal to or less than you would pay on line. If you have any problems contact McGuire's.

Accumulator turned me on to #34, he definitely knows this product!!

For claying I get the less expensive Long Haul.

I really like how slick the Long Haul is, makes a great clay lube, I've even cut it with water and it still works great. Once the supply is gone though, its gone!

I like Meguiar's NXT Speed Detailer but on Monday (5/14) Meguiar's will begin shipping a new QD that looks very promising. Ultimate Quik Detailer (UKD) has an aversion to water. From what I have seen it looks like RainX for your paint. I'll write a review shortly.

It did not last time I was in there....But I think I just gave you some Acrylic Glos...That should keep you busy.

I hit my local body shop guy for gallons of #34. My local Pepboi has the small spray bottles of #34.

I am a DG Fast Clean & Shine user for sure..great stuff...But the other day I was in Ocean State Job lots..they had WaxShops Slick Stuff. for 2,49 a bottle...regular 12.00 a bottle...I grabbed a few for my kid...this stuff reminds me FK 425 ..very slick and gloss intensive...it is a very good QD ...for the money it is very good...plus it states anti static...I may grab some more for friends....

The most popular qd at car shows in this area is Megs. Quick Detailer. I myself like Eagle One Wipe n Shine,DG Fast Clean n Shine , and Turtle Platinum ,

I posted in the hot tub about Walmart, they have Meguiars quick detailer and quick interior detailer for $4.47 which is pretty much the lowest price I've found online.

I'm gonna have to look into that stuff. I remember using Wax Shop hand glaze back in the day when I got my first Civic back in the late 80's. I loved that stuff, the gloss and slickness it left behind was lovely, and it was very easy to use as well.

Once you can't find the Long Haul, you might look into the Race Glaze line. Very similar.

Also, although I'm not sure of the date of ownership transfer, Turtle Wax bought the Wax Shop line, so it may not be quite the same as you remember, if you used a pre-TW takeover product.

My go to QD is DG FC&S. A really good QD imo. I also like TWPUG QD. I can get this locally at Big Lots and another local retailer both for $3.
